Chameleon

The money monster chameleon wants us to hide, take cover, go unnoticed to protect us from...what?  For a preditor perhaps a chameleon is a deliscious snack or meal, who's snack will you or I be if we stay true to ourselves, stay in own skin, let others see our true colours? It's safe being unseen, it means no one expects much from the hider, and the hidden, they get to survive another day and hey, who am I to judge? If survival is the goal, then hiding seems to be a reasonable plan...blending in so no one notices what you are or aren't doing, that's great when anonymity is the desired outcome. Conform and live another day, that's what the monster wants us to believe.  He wants us to think that we are average, mediocre, nothing special, that by not getting eaten, we should be thankful at the end of the day.  I really hate being compared to a lizard, I don't have a "reptilian brain", good God I am sick to death of fitting in, aren't you?  Oh money monster, you are green with envy, you have inability, because you cannot create in me conformity, and I slay you.
